ELEMENTARY (Grades 1-5)

Beginning Reading: Includes our exclusive pre-reading phonics skills plus our complete course of instruction through McGuffey's Primer. Phonics, vocabulary, basic spelling, punctuation, comprehension.

Intermediaate Reading: Starts with a comprehensive review of Beginning Reading skills but moves quickly, plus: Continued phonics development, increased vocabulary, intermediate spelling rules, syllabication, advanced punctuation, intermediate level comprehension. Includes basic instruction in interdisciplinary communication (reading, writing, speaking, etc.).

Reading Comprehension:For students able to read at mid-elementary level, but struggle with new words and / or comprehension. Vocabulary building, spelling and word development, advanced punctuation and grammar, and our unique story personalization strategies.

Handwriting: For all ages, anyone who lacks the formal instruction in proper writing techniques. Basic printing, using our exclusive 3-stroke system for letter formation, proper placement and positioning strategies to transition into cursive. Once printing is mastered, proper cursive is taught and practiced to mastery level for proper internalization.

Arithmetics: Basic skills for elementary students, as appropriate for grade level. Includes addition,subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, percents, money, time, place value, expanded notation, and more. Includes how to read and work word problems at all levels.

Beginning Writing: Includes spelling, sentence development, parts of speech, grammar, punctuation, paragraph development and structure.

Essay Writing: Continues from Beginning Writing and includes five-step method, advanced paragraphing, transitions, creating visual scenes, developing action and more.

MIDDLE SCHOOL / JUNIOR HIGH {Grades 6-8)

Remedial Reading: Students are placed according to assessment. Includes all necessary skills to bring the student up to grade level (see elementary reading), including comprehension skills.

Writing: Students are placed according to assessment and needs. Full remediation (see elementary level), plus basic research and report writing skills, creative writing techniques also included.

Math:All basic skills through 5th grade are brought to proficiency. Grade appproprate algebra, geometry and trig functions are added as needed for grade level competency according to state and local standards.

Study Skills: Organization, comprehension, test taking strategies, learning and study skills.

HIGH SCHOOL (Grades 9-12)

Remedial Reading / Comprehension: All students are brought up from current levels, as determined by our comprehensive assessment,to grade level according to current state and local standards. Includes alll skills necessary to fill in areas lacking.

Writing: Includes all aspects of writing, including grammar, punctuation, sentene formation, paragraphing, 5-step method of essay construction, and more. Includes both research skills and creative writing techniques, editing.

Math: Includes Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Precalculus, Statistics. Students are brought up from current skill level according to our comprehenive assessment to grade level. Includes all basic skills as needed, plus excluive learning and study techniques developed specifically for excelling in math courses.

Sciences: Includes Earth, Environmental, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Basic Engineering. Includes all math and reading comprehnsion skills needed to bring students to grade level, plus background, study skills and learning techniques for success in current grade-level sciences and beyond.

Study Skills: Includes research, study skills, test taking strategies, organization and much more for student success in high school and on into college.

S.A.T. / ACT Prep: Focus is on developing reading comprehension, math skills and test taking strategies needed to excel on general college entrance exams. Includes remediation as necessary.

College (AP and university level)

Note - College level courses focus on basic classes for general college requirements. Other levels of instruction are available on an individual basis.

Math: (Includes Calculus I and II, Statistics. Includes full remediation as necessary plus coaching through course material as needed. Emphasis on navigating learning environment and best practices for efficient study skills across all media platforms.

Sciences: Include Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, Focus is on specific remediation necessary to bring student to grade level as quickly as possible. Once student is able to function at grade level, navigation of learning environment and best practices for success with study skills as a mature and indpendent learner.
